CLIËNT MANAGER

Basic Travel is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join the reservations team in Capelle aan de IJssel.

Do you have a passion for traveling mainly to France, but also to Italy, Spain or Germany?

Have you completed a tourism education and/or have experience working in the travel industry?

Do you have knowledge of reservation systems? Then Basic Travel is looking for you.

Basic Travel was founded in 1991 and is therefore one of the oldest and most popular travel agencies for the rental of vacation homes in France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

We stand for personal attention, knowledge and quality. The houses we offer on our website are all visited and subjected to quality control. We have been doing business with many of the homeowners for years and have therefore often built up a friendly relationship with them. In this way we can guarantee that the vacation homes we offer meet our quality requirements.

What does your work at Basic Travel include?

- You will assist our clients with questions via phone and email in the orientation phase and during the booking of their home

- You monitor the progress of the reservation and take care of the administrative handling (no bookkeeping)

- You have contact by phone and mail with the homeowners in the different countries

- You request availability (automatically), change and cancel services and products at the different home owners and record this in the back office systems

- You process the reservation/client data in our back office system

- You are responsible for service quality assurance

- You monitor the product range and ensure expansion

- You will spend 4 weeks per year (spread over the year) on a working visit abroad

Your profile

- Enthusiastic and customer-oriented, proactive and independent

- Flexible and stress resistant

- Communicative and commercially driven

- Working and thinking level at least MBO (completed education), HBO working and thinking level a plus

- Knowledge of Word and Excel

- Knowledge of reservation systems

- Good numerical insight

- You are fluent in Dutch and French, have a good command of the English language and if you can make yourself understood in German, that would be an advantage

Salary and working conditions in accordance with the collective labor agreement for the travel industry

A contract for at least 32 hours to full-time per week (1 day per week working from home is negotiable)
