Ine's summer vacation on the Costa Brava

During the summer holidays, our colleague Ine travelled with her family and in-laws to the sunny Costa Brava. They stayed in holiday home S17.181. Spain turned out to offer exactly what they were looking for: relaxation, conviviality and time for each other. From charming villages with lively markets to cosy streets full of shops and restaurants: every day brought something new. In between, they enjoyed refreshing days by the pool and long, cosy dinners at the holiday home. A summer full of sun, peace and beautiful memories! Curious about Ine's holiday stories? Read on!

'Summer vacation 2025 on the Costa Brava with the whole family!

This summer, we took the whole family, including the in-laws, to Spain for a wonderful vacation on the Costa Brava! We stayed in a fantastic villa (S17.181), decorated in a typical Spanish style with a slightly older feel, but equipped with every comfort. And what luxury: a huge swimming pool, where we played with the children for hours.

Grandma thoroughly enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. We played lots of board games together and really took the time to relax. That was exactly what we were looking for: peace, sunshine, and quality time together. The weather was perfect, warm but not too hot. Ideal for barbecuing in the evening and then taking a refreshing dip in the pool.

Of course, we also explored the surrounding area. In Blanes, we visited both the Monday market and the evening market, and strolled through the beautiful Jardin Botanique Marimurtra, with breathtaking views of the sea. In Tossa de Mar, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Restaurant Castell Vell, where we savored a delicious paella and the fantastic view. What a beautiful city! We wandered through the charming streets full of cozy shops.

We also explored the interior. The charming village of Peratallada captured our hearts with its beautiful streets, cozy shops, and delicious ice cream. We also visited Begur, a pleasant town that is great for strolling around.

The beaches were fantastic. We often left early in the morning to find a quiet spot, because it can get quite busy in August. Around noon, we usually returned to our vacation home to continue enjoying the peace and quiet and the pool.

A highlight was our day trip to Barcelona, where we explored the most beautiful sights with the children. For a romantic date night, my husband and I headed inland, where we had dinner at El Llac del Cigne, a restaurant on a real swan lake, which was a wonderful discovery.

It was a wonderful vacation full of sunshine, good food, family fun, and endless swimming. The Costa Brava is highly recommended!'
