Here, you can ski, hike, or simply enjoy the view with a hot chocolate in your hand. The atmosphere is friendly, the air is fresh, and everything revolves around being outdoors and enjoying nature.
Winter activities in Beitostølen
Beitostølen is not just about skiing. It is a destination where you can experience something new in the snow every day.
Skiing
Beitostølen has two ski areas: Beitostølen Ski Center and Alpinsenter. Together, they offer varied slopes for both beginners and advanced skiers. The ski school is known for its friendly, experienced instructors, and there are separate children's areas where the little ones can practice safely.

Husky tour
A trip with huskies is an absolute must. As soon as the dogs start running and the sled glides across the white landscape, you feel the excitement and joy of the moment. It is a unique experience that you will not soon forget!

Snow rafting en air sledding
For those looking for a bit of excitement, snow rafting or air sledding are highly recommended. You glide on inflatable boats or sleds over specially constructed tracks, accompanied by experienced instructors. It's laughter, screams, and pure enjoyment, ideal for families or groups of friends who want some action.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing
Around Beitostølen there is an extensive network of trails, totaling hundreds of kilometers in length and illuminated until 10 p.m. Cross-country skiing is the best way to experience the silence of nature here. Those who prefer to walk can opt for a snowshoe hike through the winter landscape, past forests and lakes.

Ice fishing
Those who prefer to take it easy can go ice fishing on one of the frozen lakes. It is a wonderful way to unwind, listening only to the crackling of the ice and looking out over the silent, white landscape.

Horseback riding in the snow
A unique way to explore the area is on horseback. Accompanied by a guide, you can ride Norwegian horses through the winter landscape, over snowy paths and open plains. It is a peaceful, almost fairy-tale-like experience that allows you to experience nature up close.

Did you know that the snow season here lasts much longer than in the Alps? There, good snow conditions often come to an end around Easter, but in Beitostølen, with a little luck, you can still enjoy them until the end of May.
Food, drink, and relaxation
After a day in the snow, there's nothing better than settling down in a cozy café or restaurant. Along the main street, also known as Beitostølen Boulevard, there are several atmospheric places to eat and drink.
At Cafeen, you can enjoy bistro and tapas dishes in a warm, modern setting. If you like a good glass of wine or a creative cocktail, CHAMBRE by Cafeen is the place to be. For a relaxed evening with sports on TV and a cozy atmosphere, Kjeldarn Pub is a favorite spot among locals.
Fancy a sumptuous meal with a view? Then Lodge900 is the place to be. If you're just looking for a tasty, quick bite, you'll find it at Jotunstogo, a combination of restaurant, café, and wine bar with something for everyone.
Almost everything is within walking distance, which makes Beitostølen extra relaxing. Supermarkets and shops are also nearby, ideal for those staying in a vacation home and wanting to cook for themselves.
