Home and location This beautiful, spacious holiday house with private swimming pool is beautifully situated in a quiet residential area on the Mont des Oiseaux near Hyères, just 1 km from the sea and 2 km from Almanarre beach. You have a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea and the islands off the coast. The overflow function in the pool gives you the feeling that you are swimming towards the horizon, towards the sea. There are two tennis courts available for the residents of the residential area. If you want to use it, you only have to make a reservation (at least one hour in advance). The villa is built against a hill; the living room, kitchen, conservatory and one of the bedrooms with bathroom are on the ground floor. The other bedrooms and bathrooms are located one floor below, at the level of the swimming pool. Beach entertainment can be found close by on the Plage d'Almanarre, renowned for kite and wind surfers. There are also a few cafes and restaurants right on the beach. There is a 100 km long cycle path along the coast and walkers will find several marked paths along the sea. For golfers there are two golf courses in the area: at La Garde (11 km) and Valcros (23 km). You can do your shopping in Carqueiranne (3 km) and in Hyères (7 km). This lively city has pleasant shopping streets and beautiful squares. Here you will also find the villa Noailles, well known to architecture lovers. A visit to Porquerolles is highly recommended; from the Presqu'ile de Giens there is a regular boat connection to the island. You can also make trips to the city of Toulon and to famous seaside resorts such as Le Lavandou, Bandol and Sanary-sur-Mer. In the hinterland, the mountain areas of Les Maures and La Sainte-Baume are very worthwhile.
