Home and location Completely detached holiday house with private swimming pool and stunning views at the town of Die in the Drôme. The house is situated on a large fenced plot in a higher part of the lovely town where you will find several restaurants, nice shops and also the large supermarkets. On one of the cozy terraces you should definitely order a glass of "Clairette de Die", the famous sparkling wine from this region. It is only 500 m to the center on foot, but the road to the village is quite steep, so if you are less agile it is better to take the car. From the house, from the terrace and by the pool you have a panoramic view of Die, the Vercors mountain range and the southern Alps. This beautiful part of the Drôme offers numerous hiking opportunities. The Grandes Randonnées 91 and 93 take you straight through the Vercors (with many monuments that bear witness to the French resistance in World War II) and the Montagne de La Glandasse. Sporty cyclists can also enjoy themselves on the many mountain roads. The town of Die is located in the valley of the river Drôme and there are various places where you can go canoeing and swimming. In a westerly direction you can make a nice trip through Saillans to Crest, in a southerly direction to Luc-en-Diois with the impressive rocks at Le Claps. A little further south are towns such as Bourdeaux and Dieulefit. When the lavender blooms, it is completely fun to tour through the varied area.
