Home and location Characteristic holiday house with private swimming pool in Bélarga in the Languedoc. This beautifully restored village house is located directly on the main street of the lovely village and it has a beautiful garden at the rear, with a large cedar tree that provides the necessary shade in the summer. The pool has a shallow part (30 cm) where toddlers can poodle around. The Hérault River flows at 200 m. There are fishing possiblities and there is a beach. Bélarga is halfway between the charming towns of Clermont-l'Hérault and Pézenas. There is a grocer (who also sells bread) and a restaurant. For all other facilities you can go to Paulhan at 4 km. The tastefully decorated house has two living rooms and two kitchens, making it ideal for a larger group. The living room on the floor in particular is surprisingly spacious. The location is ideal for exploring the region with many interesting places. The picturesque town of Pézenas with its stately Renaissance houses is 13 km away. There are terraces, restaurants, galleries and nice shops there, and on Saturday morning there is a lively market. The larger towns of Béziers, Narbonne and Montpellier are also worth a visit, as is the animated port of Sète. A day trip to the wide sandy beaches on the Mediterranean Sea is easy to do from your holiday house; Vias-Plage and Cap-d'Agde are around 38 km away. To the north lies the beautiful Lac du Salagou where numerous water sports can be practiced. Also impressive are the rock formations south of the lake, the Cirque de Mourèze. You can also make trips to the medieval town of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the Grotte de Clamouse and to the gorges of the l'Hérault river with the ancient Pont du Diable. NB. The entrance to the first floor can be reached via a staircase. The house is therefore less suitable for people with walking difficulties.
