Home and location Fully detached natural stone holiday house with private swimming pool, situated on a large plot of land near Paulhiac, in the Monflanquin, Villeréal and Monpazier triangle in the Lot-et-Garonne department, adjacent to the Dordogne. Paulhiac is a hamlet 8 km north of Monflanquin, a characteristic fortress town where you will find all amenities. The location is wonderfully quiet in the middle of a hilly landscape with orchards, fields and fields of sunflowers, so characteristic of this region. There is plenty of space around the house and everywhere you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. Especially the beautiful covered terrace with the plancha is a nice place. This comfortable holiday house is a restored, former farmhouse, with a tasteful and original design in which stone walls are interspersed with wooden walls. The house is adapted for the disabled, in the living room there is an entrance for a wheelchair to the adapted bathroom, a toilet and a bedroom. The immediate area invites you to go on long walks and bike rides and at 23 km there is an 18-hole golf course at Castelnaud. In addition to the sunflowers, the area is known for its numerous old fortresses (bastides) such as Monflanquin, Monpazier and Villeréal. You can also visit the impressive castle of Bonaguil or Monbazillac, where you can also taste delicious white wines. The cozy town of Villeneuve with picturesque houses along the River Lot and a 13th-century bridge over the river is not far and certainly worth a visit. A little further away but easily accessible is Bergerac, idyllically situated on the Dordogne river. You can admire the statue of Cyrano or visit the tobacco museum.
