Home and location Former farmhouse with heated privat pool, located in a quiet country-side environment near Houffalize. The farm was restored with much care and has been comfortably furnished. You can relax in the infrared sauna, where natural oils create a pleasant atmosphere. The house has its own garden.The fishing pond (600 m2), the playground and the jeu-de-boules court you share with the guests of a holiday house located a bit further away. (living fish have to be thrown back into the pond !!). The pool is heated from may until september. In this location you find yourself in the province of Luxembourg in the ‘Hoge Ardennes’. In the neighbourhood you will find the Plateau des Tailles, a high, flat, peat-covered area of land which is protected as a nature reserve. Between the Ourthe Valley and the plateaus, mountain-bike trails have been marked out. Walkers will also enjoy this area: some beautiful walking routes have been identified, which can be started near the house. On the nearby Baraque de Fraiture, there are diverse winter sport facilities. Houffalize itself also has a good sporting infrastructure and an interesting museum: Houtopia, where children can learn, through play, how to look after the environment. Tavigny, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia, and its castle, are very much worth the visit. In La-Roche -en-Ardenne you will find the beautiful ruins of a feudal castle and also In Burg Reuland (29km) you can visit the remains of a castle. The city of Clervaux with cloisters and castle is only 30 minutes away. Even the Hoton caves (40km) are within reach and well worth a visit. A bakery and a restaurant can be found at 1 km. You can do your shopping at 7 km from your holiday home.
