Home and location Large, semi-detached, natural stone mas (left side on the pictures), set on large shared grounds (1.5 hectare). The other part of the mas is occupied. The villa is set in afforested surroundings, approx. 500 m from the charming medieval village of Mons. The view of the village and the mountains is excellent. Mons is situated 14 km north of the fine village of Fayence. The view from the picturesque village of Mons itself is a magnificent panorama of the hills and forests all the way down to the sea. There are several shops, bars, and restaurants in Mons. The surroundings feature a superb reservoir (the Lac de St Cassien), the Mediterranean sea, and the impressive Gorges du Verdon and Castellane. Cycle enthusiasts and walkers can let themselves go in these surroundings; a splendid hike (not suitable for novices) starting from Mons leads to St Cézaire through the de Gorges de Siagne. Mons is situated north of the lustrous valley in between the fine cities of Grasse and Draguignan. The Provençal villages of Fayence, Seillans, Callian, Mons, Tourettes, St Cézaire sur Siagne, and Montauroux are built against the mountains like eagle's nests. The tranquillity and beauty of the Provence can be experienced here, in the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur. The typical Provençal scent of thyme, lavender, and rosemary still lingers in the winding streets and alleyways in these villages. One of the largest glider airports in Europe is situated in Fayence.
