Home and location Centrally located in the Manche, this completely detached, restored stone holiday house with garden and terrace is 2 km from the village of Orglandes, 13 km south of the town of Valognes. You can make numerous trips from your holiday house, which is located next to the owner's farm. Both the west and east coasts of the department are within easy reach. To the east you will find the sandy beaches of Ravenoville-Plage (17 km) and also the famous landing beaches of Utah Beach (20 km). Sainte-Mère-Eglise with the war museum is only 9 km away. To the east lies the charming coastal town of Barneville-Carteret (27 km). From Carteret there is a regular boat connection with the island of Jersey during the season; a day trip to the English island is definitely recommended. A little further away, in a northerly direction, lies Cherbourg, a visit to this bustling port city is worthwhile, as well as a trip to the characteristic fishing villages of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and Barfleur. At the nearby Saint-Saveur-le-Vicomte (10 km) there is a leisure park where, among other things, canoes can be rented. You can make a wonderful trip on the Douve River. There are also a number of marked hiking trails in the unspoilt nature area around this village. Orglandes has a grocery store that also sells bread. For all other facilities you can go to Picauville and Sainte-Mère Eglise. At Saint-Jean-de-la-Rivière there is a 9-hole golf course (27 km).
