Home and location Holiday house situated in Le Ménil, south of Remiremont and Gerardmer in the Vosges department. Le Ménil is situated midway in between Cornimont and Le Thillot. The house was built on a quiet spot on the outskirts of the village of Le Ménil, against a hill. There is a lot of space around the house. The house is only four years old and is comfortable and well cared for. There is a large field of grass with a swing in front of the house, therefore the house is ideal for families. There are no big roads nearby. From the veranda you will enjoy a fine view of the valley. Groceries can be purchased in Le Ménil. THE COLS OF THE VOSGES In the Vosges the sporting cyclist can enjoy him/herself and test his or her form. Within a small area east of Gérardmer you will find a number of beautiful and famous cols, like the Col de la Schlucht (17 km long, 1.100 m high), the Markstein (20 km long, 1.200 m high), the Petit Ballon (12 km long, 1.150 m high) and the Grand Ballon (13 km long, 1.350 m high). The beautiful, green landscapes and the beautiful views together with the smooth, not very steep cols cause this area to be a wonderful challenge for every sporting cyclist.
