Home and location Detached chalet, set in peaceful surroundings near the village of Sapois. Sapois lies approx. 2 km from the somewhat larger village of Vagney, in the heart of a splendid nature reserve, some 15 km southwest of Gérardmer. The area is excellent for walking and biking (there are walking trails and ATB tracks). There are waterfalls and there is a large lake near Gérardmer. The chalet is set on the grounds of the very friendly owner, who will fully respect your privacy. Patio/sitting area on the other side of the chalet. Swimming pool: Vagney (2 km). Lake: Gérardmer (15 km). THE COLS OF THE VOSGES In the Vosges the sporting cyclist can enjoy him/herself and test his or her form. Within a small area east of Gérardmer you will find a number of beautiful and famous cols, like the Col de la Schlucht (17 km long, 1.100 m high), the Markstein (20 km long, 1.200 m high), the Petit Ballon (12 km long, 1.150 m high) and the Grand Ballon (13 km long, 1.350 m high). The beautiful, green landscapes and the beautiful views together with the smooth, not very steep cols cause this area to be a wonderful challenge for every sporting cyclist.
