Home and location Detached holiday house on the edge of the picturesque village of Saint-Julia-de-Bec at the foot of the Pyrenees. From the conservatory and from the terrace you have a beautiful view of the village and the surrounding mountains. The house has a beautiful fenced garden with fruit trees that can be reached from the outside via a staircase (not suitable for people with mobility problems). You enter the house from the street side, all rooms are on the ground floor level. Saint-Julia-de-Bec is 7 km east of the lively town of Quillan where you can do all your shopping. Due to its central location in the beautiful area, south of Carcassonne, west of Perpignan and not far from the valley of the river Aude, there are many trips to be made. It is the region where the Cathars lived in the Middle Ages and from that time date the many impressive ruins of castles such as those of Quéribus, Peyrepertuse and Montségur. A must is a visit to the fortified city of Carcassonne, one of the best preserved medieval towns with 52 towers and imposing high walls. Beautiful villages in the area are Limoux, Puivert and Axat. For nature lovers there is also something to discover here, such as the Gorges de Galamus and the Gorges de Saint-Georges. Sporty holidaymakers will find a challenging cycling area in the mountains and there are opportunities for canoeing and rafting in the area. At about 30 km there is a recreational lake at Chalabre, but spending a day at the seaside is also possible. The beaches at Perpignan, such as Canet-Plage and Port-Barcarès, can be reached in just over an hour. Highly recommended is a trip along the coast towards the beautiful coastal town of Collioure.

De ideale plek om tot rust te komen, te lezen en te wandelen in een comfortabel huis met mooi terras met zicht op de bergen, zelfs bij regenweer een aangenaam verblijf. Wel rekening houden dat er voor elke andere activiteit, winkelen, terrasje, etentje.. een auto nodig is.
