Home and location Fully detached holiday house with private swimming pool on a large fenced plot near the village of Caillac, just 10 km from Cahors in the Lot. The house is quietly situated in the hamlet of Mas de Laroque amidst vineyards that supply the grapes for the well-known Cahors wines. Next to the house you overlook the hills and forests and from the bedrooms you have a nice view of the beautiful Château de Lagrézette to which this house once belonged. In Caillac, on the river, there is a restaurant. You will also find all amenities in Mercuès and Espère, both at 3 km. You can taste and buy wine at the numerous domains in the area. There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in the vicinity of the house. At Caïx and Luzech, about 10 km away, there are swimming possibilities and you can take a wonderful canoe trip on the River Lot. You can also swim in the 7-hectare Lac Vert near Catus, where pedalos and canoes are also rented (10 km). Besides being sporty, you can also visit many things in the beautiful surroundings. The lively city of Cahors with its historic center and the famous Pont Valentré, Europe's oldest Gothic bridge, is easily accessible, as is the medieval town of Puy-l'Evêque. A little further away, but definitely worth a visit, is the high-altitude village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (38 km). You can easily combine it with a visit to the Grotte du Pech Merle. A day trip to the Dordogne with its many castles and famous places such as Sarlat, Domme, Beynac and La Roque-Gageac is also possible.

Mooi basic huis. Eigenaar renoveerd huis in etappes. Lekker koel binnen. Zwembad is prachtig. Verwarmd tot 28 graden. Eigenaar vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Veel privacy.

ideale vakantie: oud huis met dikke muren waar het overdag lekker koel was, buiten een verwarmd zwembad op 28 graden. De eigenaar had nog een compliment voor basic-travel: hij vond jullie bedrijf "tres serieux"!

De accommodatie is oud, maar erg charmant. De voorzieningen zijn over het algemeen goed. De eigenaar is bezig om een aantal zaken te vernieuwen. De eigenaar is een buitengewoon vriendelijke, zorgzame en vooral behulpzame man, die erg zijn best doet om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Hij heeft een eigen domain en zijn rosé is erg lekker. Het zwembad is net aangelegd en hypermodern. De tuin van 3000m2 is netjes onderhouden en schept enorm veel privacy. We hebben erg genoten en kunnen de accommodatie van harte aanbevelen.
