Home and location Detached holiday house at Beaune-sur-Arzon in the Auvergne, in the middle of France. You will find this well-furnished house at about 35 km from the beautifully situated town of Le Puy-en-Velay, traditionally a crossroads of various pilgrim routes, and at 9 km from the charming town of Craponne-sur-Arzon. La Chaise-Dieu with its famous abbey is approximately 16 km away. The holiday house is situated in a small hamlet of 4 houses, in the middle of a beautiful rolling landscape, from where you immediately walk into the woods and fields. The location of the house is wonderfully rural, but not isolated. The Auvergne is an area to relax and offers many opportunities for nature lovers and hikers. There are numerous marked hiking trails that lead you to the most beautiful places. There are also trails for mountain bikers. A trip by train (July and August) from the station of Craponne-sur-Arzon is very worthwhile; you will be rewarded with beautiful views. You can go to Craponne for all your groceries, there is a swimming pool and there are tennis courts. At Beaune-sur-Arzon there is a recreational lake and you can fish in the nearby rivers. A well-known area with many extinguished volcanoes, the 'Puys', including the well-known Puy de Dome, lies more to the north towards Clermont-Ferrand.
