The Gard

The beautiful towns of Uzès, Aigues-Mortes and Sommières have preserved their medieval character. An absolute must to visit from your holiday home is the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct still there since the beginning of the era. You will find many beautiful villages such as Anduze, Saint Hippolyte du Fort, Saint Jean du Gard and la Roque sur Cèze. From your cottage in the Gard you can also visit the often untouched nature of areas such as the rugged mountains of the Cevennes and of the Camargue at the beautiful medieval town of Aigues-Mortes and the famous seaside resort of Les Saintes Maries de la Mer.
