Home and location This completely detached chalet is beautifully situated in the lovely mountain landscape near the village of Vacheresse, 17 km south of Evian-les-Bains and Lake Geneva. The chalet, situated in a small neighbourhood, is comfortably furnished and has a spacious terrace, a large balcony and a lawn all around. You have a wide view to all sides. The area is perfect for taking beautiful walks on every level; from delightful walks across the Alpine pastures to the ascent of the 2200 m high Dent d'Oche. It is also a challenging area for mountain bikers and sporty cyclists. You can make lots of great trips by car from your holiday home. A recommended tour for example is via Morzine to the famous Col de Joux Plane. Evian-les-Bains shows you a completely different side of the area. The lively, sophisticated spa offers you, apart from the casino and numerous terraces and restaurants, a beautiful promenade along the lake. There is a regular boat connection with the opposite Lausanne, a visit to this Swiss city is definitely worthwhile. The lakeside towns of Thonon-les-Bains and Yvoire are also within easy reach, as is the city of Geneva. There is a restaurant in Vacheresse (600 m). For most groceries you can go to Vinzier and Abondance (both 8 km). NB. The sous-sol of the chalet is closed and is not occupied.
