Stone farmhouse with private pool near Lucca
This beautiful fully detached stone farmhouse was originally an ancient olive mill and has been carefully restored by the owner with great attention to materials and finishes, preserving the charm and atmosphere of the past.
The house features a large partially fenced garden of 1000 m² and an elevated private pool. Next to the pool, there is a wooden terrace on the same level as the property, offering a beautiful view over the city of Lucca.
The interior has been furnished with great care in a modern style, complemented by some antique furniture, wooden beam ceilings, and parquet floors in the bedrooms. It has two floors and a basement with a laundry room and two rooms where the old millstone and olive pressing equipment remain intact. The spacious master bedroom opens onto a beautiful veranda equipped with a table and chairs.
The property is set in a lovely hilly area only 5 km from the historic center of Lucca and within easy reach of Tuscany’s famous art cities such as Pisa, Florence, and Siena — ideal for day trips.
It is beautifully situated on the edge of the hamlet of Pozzuolo, within an estate where the owner’s relative also lives. However, the location is completely private, and the pool is for exclusive use. In Lucca, you will find all shops and can enjoy a pleasant walk along the city walls with stunning views, visit one of the many Romanesque churches, or simply stroll through the charming streets. Lucca has many squares, including the circular Piazza del Mercato, which once housed the amphitheater. Pisa and Florence are also easily reachable.
The Versilia coast, with its beautiful beaches, is well worth a visit. The seaside town of Viareggio, 28 km away, offers all kinds of entertainment with its magnificent promenade and wide sandy beaches.
The dead-end road leading to the house becomes very narrow (2.10 meters at its narrowest point) and is therefore not suitable for wide vehicles.
