Detached holiday home in a rustic setting

This fully detached holiday home is part of a characterful farmhouse dating partly from the 17th century, carefully restored with respect for its history. The house is set on a vast, wooded estate of 2 hectares and offers complete peace and privacy. Its location is wonderfully quiet, about 2 km from the village of Le Saulcy and 9 km from the town of Senones.

Originally, the house belonged to a so-called Schlitter, a woodcutter who transported timber by sledge from the mountain slopes down to the valley. From the house, you can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding forests and hills.

The immediate area is perfect for walks through the vast, unspoilt nature of the Forêt de Donon. For those who enjoy fishing or water sports, the 300-hectare Lac de Pierre Percée (30 km) is an absolute must.

From Le Saulcy you can make many interesting excursions. Visit, for example, the town of Baccarat, famous for its crystal and crystal museum, the former concentration camp Struthof near Schirmeck, or the Château de Lunéville, inspired by Versailles. The city of Nancy with its impressive Place Stanislas and the picturesque wine villages of Alsace are also within easy reach.

For daily shopping you can go to the nearby villages of Moussey (4 km) and La Petite-Raon (5 km), where you will find a bakery among other things. For a wider range of shops and services, Senones (9 km) is the closest option.

This holiday home is about a 1-hour drive from Strasbourg, world-famous for its atmospheric Christmas market, one of the oldest and largest in Europe. Colmar, with its beautifully lit half-timbered houses and romantic squares, is also a must during the festive season. A stay here therefore offers not only peace, nature, and culture, but also the chance to experience the magic of the Alsatian Christmas markets.

For sporty cyclists: the Vosges cols
The Vosges are a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. In a relatively compact area east of Gérardmer lie some of the most beautiful and famous mountain passes of the region: the Col de la Schlucht (17 km, 1100 m), the Markstein (20 km, 1200 m), the Petit Ballon (12 km, 1150 m) and the Grand Ballon (13 km, 1350 m). Thanks to the rolling landscape, wide panoramas and accessible, not too steep climbs, these cols are attractive to any cyclist looking for a sporting challenge.

Alles is ruim voldoende aanwezig.

Zeer rustig gelegen. Directe omgeving aardig, maar niet bijzonder.

Prima huis, in een geweldige, zeer bosrijke omgeving. Zeer veel wandelmogelijkheden in directe omgeving. Badkamer is sinds plaatsen foto's gemoderniseerd . Verder een gezellige sfeer in huis. Kortom, een prima plek als je van rust, natuur en wandelen houdt.....
