Fully detached holiday house with private swimming pool and enclosed garden, just 2.5 km from Vaison-la-Romaine. The spacious house, which is nicely furnished, has a large living room with veranda, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and a smaller living room with open kitchen (with direct access to the garden), also two bedrooms on the ground floor and a bathroom. The two kitchens are fully equipped with, among other things, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Both floors are connected by an internal staircase, but also independently accessible from the outside; they are never rented separately. The swimming pool is equipped with a mobile roof, so that the water is pleasantly warm in the early and late season. Vaison, divided in two by the Ouvèze River, can be reached in no time. High on the left bank is the old town with quiet, narrow streets and beautifully restored houses. The new city is located on the right bank of the river. Here you will find lots of pleasant terraces and restaurants, as well as a variety of shops. There is a large Provençal market on Tuesday morning. However, above all the town is known for its excavations and remains from Roman times. Your holiday house is on the D151, which leads to the village of Entrechaux via the old Roman bridge over the river Ouvèze. The location is ideal for exploring both the Vaucluse and the Drôme Provençale. In the famous wine villages Rasteau, Gigondas and Vacqueyras you will find several caves where you can taste the excellent wines of this region. Also, there are picturesque villages in the area such as Séguret, Le Crestet and Le Barroux and the nearby Malaucène is a good starting point for the ascent to the top of Mont Ventoux. A great challenge for cyclists, but also a wonderful trip by car.
