Detached chalet with panoramic views in the French Alps, near Vacheresse (Haute-Savoie)

This fully detached chalet is beautifully situated in the charming alpine landscape near the village of Vacheresse, 17 km south of Lake Geneva and the well-known town of Evian-les-Bains. Located in a small hamlet, the chalet is warmly furnished and offers a spacious terrace, a large balcony, and a grassy area all around. You’ll enjoy panoramic views in every direction.

The area is ideal for hiking at all levels, from gentle walks through alpine meadows to the more challenging climb of the 2200-metre-high Dent d’Oche. Mountain bikers and active cyclists will also find plenty of adventure here. By car, there are many great day trips to make, including a scenic drive via Morzine to the famous Col de Joux Plane.

Evian-les-Bains offers a completely different experience: a lively and elegant spa town with a lakefront promenade, a casino, and numerous restaurants and cafés. There are regular boat connections across the lake to Lausanne in Switzerland – a visit well worth making. Other charming lakeside towns such as Thonon-les-Bains and the medieval village of Yvoire are also within easy reach, as is the city of Geneva.

In Vacheresse (600 m), there is a restaurant. For daily shopping, you can go to Vinzier and Abondance, both 8 km away.

Note: the chalet’s basement (sous-sol) is closed off and not inhabited.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier en kunnen dit ook aan anderen van harte aanbevelen. Enig minpintje was dat de vermelde ligstoelen er niet waren. Dat was jammer, want die hadden we gewoon mee kunnen nemen.

Prachtig gelegen huisje, aan rustige weg. Vriendelijke ontvangst door eigenares en haar dochter. Ze was ook flexibel voor het vertrektijdstip. Schoon huisje, wel wat minder moderne inrichting. Er is geen wifi.
