Just 500 meters from the beautiful sandy beach of Portbail, this semi-detached holiday home (twin house) features a spacious conservatory and a fenced garden. The house is comfortably furnished and within walking distance of the beach and sea.
In the charming village, 2 km inland, you’ll find all amenities such as a supermarket, bakery, butcher, and several restaurants. Thanks to Portbail’s central location, halfway between Cherbourg and Coutances, it is an ideal base for excursions. The area is also perfect for walking and cycling. The famous Grande Randonnée 223 coastal hiking trail passes close to the house.
From the lively seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret (a short drive away), there is a regular seasonal ferry to the island of Jersey, a day trip definitely worth doing. A visit to the impressive Cap de la Hague, at the tip of the Manche, is also highly recommended. History enthusiasts will appreciate that the D-Day landing beaches, including Utah Beach, are easily accessible.
Sports lovers are well catered for: Portbail has tennis courts, and the golf course of Saint-Jean-de-la-Rivière is only 6 km away.
