Atmospheric studio with private terrace in the heart of the Cévennes

L’Atelier is a charming 40 m² holiday home, located on the grounds of the beautifully restored fortified farmhouse La Garde, on the edge of the impressive Cévennes National Park (see also F48.009). The studio has its own entrance on the courtyard side of the main building and features a private terrace right outside the door, with additional cooking and barbecue facilities.

About 30 metres from the studio, you'll find a second, covered private terrace offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Scattered throughout the beautifully landscaped garden are several idyllic spots perfect for reading or sunbathing.

For a refreshing dip, you can swim in the stream that runs alongside the property or make free use of the swimming pool at the nearby campsite (about 300 metres away). There are also lovely swimming spots in the Gardon River, just south of the village.

This area is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers, surrounded on all sides by unspoiled countryside. For your daily groceries, the friendly village of Saint-Germain-de-Calberte is just a few minutes’ walk away, offering a bakery, grocery store, and butcher.

The lively towns of Saint-Jean-du-Gard (22 km), Anduze (36 km), and Florac (36 km) are well worth a visit. In summer, you can even take a nostalgic ride on the steam train from Saint-Jean to Anduze. The city of Alès is 43 km away.

Fancy a day at the beach? The Mediterranean Sea is about 1.5 to 2 hours' drive away, with coastal destinations like Grau-du-Roi, La Grande-Motte, and Palavas-les-Flots within easy reach.
