Discover this fully detached holiday home with a private swimming pool, set on a large, fully enclosed plot near the charming village of Caillac, just 10 km from Cahors in the Lot. The house accommodates 7 guests and offers 3 comfortable bedrooms. You will enjoy complete tranquility in the hamlet of Mas de Laroque, surrounded by vineyards that produce the renowned Cahors wines.
Next to the house, you can admire beautiful views of the rolling hills and forests, while the bedrooms overlook the impressive Château de Lagrézette, to which the property once belonged. In Caillac, located on the river, you will find a restaurant; for all other amenities you can head to Mercuès and Espère, both only 3 km away.
The area is known for its many wineries where you can taste and purchase local wines. Hikers and cyclists will find numerous routes starting right outside the house. About 10 km away are Caïx and Luzech, where you can swim or enjoy a wonderful canoe trip on the River Lot. Swimming is also possible at the 7-hectare Lac Vert near Catus, where pedal boats and canoes are available for rent.
Beyond outdoor activities, there is much to explore in this beautiful region. The lively town of Cahors, with its historic centre and the famous Pont Valentré – the oldest Gothic fortified bridge in Europe, is within easy reach. The medieval town of Puy-l’Evêque is also worth a visit. A bit further, but truly spectacular, is the hilltop village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (38 km), which combines perfectly with a visit to the Grotte du Pech Merle. Those willing to travel a little more can enjoy a day trip to the Dordogne, known for its many castles and picturesque towns such as Sarlat, Domme, Beynac and La Roque-Gageac.
