Just 1.5 km from the village of Salviac, you’ll find this fully detached holiday home with its own swimming pool. The bright and modern interior accommodates 6 people. There are three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms, making the house ideal for families or a stay with friends.
Outside, everything has been thought of: from comfortable garden furniture to a spacious covered terrace where you can enjoy the long summer evenings. By the pool, you’ll also have a beautiful view over the gently rolling countryside.
The location is perfect: Salviac lies roughly halfway between Sarlat and Cahors, making this house an excellent base for exploring both the Dordogne and the Lot. A visit to Sarlat with its stunning medieval centre, or to Cahors with the famous Pont Valentré, is a must. Charming towns such as Gourdon and Belvès are also well worth a visit.
Other highlights in the region include the hilltop bastide of Domme, the impressive pilgrimage site of Rocamadour and the spectacular Gouffre de Padirac. You will also find numerous castles in the area, such as Bonaguil, Beynac, Montfort and Castelnaud.
A canoe trip on the Dordogne is highly recommended. Canoes and kayaks can be rented everywhere along the river, or, if you prefer to be taken, you can opt for a trip on a traditional wooden ‘gabare’.
In Salviac itself you’ll find all basic amenities, including shops for daily groceries, several cosy restaurants and inviting terraces.
