Detached Holiday Home with Private Pool and Panoramic Views in the Lot
This fully detached holiday home is quietly located in a small hamlet near the charming village of Tour-de-Faure, about 25 km east of the famous wine town of Cahors, in the heart of southwestern France. From the house, and the slightly lower private pool, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the picturesque Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, located across the Lot River, considered one of the most beautiful villages in France.
The house was fully restored in 2008 and is modernly furnished. It sits on a private plot of 2000 m² and offers plenty of space and comfort. The ground floor features a spacious living area with an open kitchen and a cozy sitting area with a wood-burning stove, as well as a separate TV/lounge room. Upstairs, there are four comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom. In front of the house is a large courtyard, with a barn opposite that can be used as a covered terrace. Another barn, on the right side of the house, is not in use.
From the house, you can take beautiful walks immediately. About 1 km away, the Lot River offers fishing, swimming, and canoeing opportunities. For sports enthusiasts, there is a tennis court in Tour-de-Faure (1 km).
Besides the iconic Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, you can explore the famous Pech Merle cave near Cabrerets, discover the historic town of Cahors, or visit Limogne and Cajarc – especially on market day, a real experience. A bit further afield, but definitely worth a day trip, is the spectacularly located Rocamadour.
Tour-de-Faure has some basic amenities, such as a bakery, post office, and restaurants. For more facilities, you can go to Saint-Géry (13 km), Limogne (14 km), or Cajarc (18 km).
