This fully detached holiday house is in a wonderfully quiet location in the Loire Valley in the vicinity of the famous Château de Chambord, 11 km southwest of Beaugency. The spacious, tastefully decorated house has a spacious terrace overlooking the large, well-kept park-like garden of 1 ha on which the owner's house is also located. The location in the hamlet of Herbilly, which is part of the municipality of Mer, is very central for exploring this lovely, but also interesting region with its numerous castles. Chambord, Cheverny, Talcy and Blois are easy to visit from your holiday house. In addition to the castle, the lively city of Blois has even more interesting sights, such as the Saint-Louis cathedral and the old part of the city. A trip to the city of Orléans with the imposing Sainte-Croix cathedral is also recommended. Numerous activities are possible in the 5000-hectare park around the castle of Chambord (8 km). You can go cycling, hiking and horse riding. For cyclists, this is definitely an excellent area, there are 300 km of signposted cycle routes that lead through the beautiful valley, but also through the vineyards. In the village of Mer (2.5 km) you will find all amenities, such as a supermarket, a few restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool (open July and August). You can park the car directly at the house on the quiet square near the church.
