Peacefully located detached holiday home near Nîmes, the Cévennes & the sea

Completely detached holiday home for up to 6 guests, set on a fenced plot in a wonderfully quiet location, just a few hundred metres from the authentic village of Saint-Étienne-d’Escattes. The property features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is situated approximately 20 km west of Nîmes, a city renowned for its impressive Roman heritage, including the Arena and the Maison Carrée.

The surrounding area is perfect for lovers of nature, tranquillity and active holidays. From the house, you can immediately enjoy beautiful walking and cycling routes through gently rolling countryside with vineyards, olive trees and typical garrigue vegetation. In summer, the air is filled with the scent of thyme and rosemary, creating an authentic South of France atmosphere.

For varied day trips, the Cévennes are just a short drive away, offering rugged mountains, rivers and picturesque villages. The Camargue, famous for its flamingos, white horses and vast wetlands, is also easily accessible. Visit charming villages such as Sauve, Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard, or discover the impressive Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard.

Numerous historic and cultural cities, including Arles, Avignon and Montpellier, are within easy reach. Fancy a day at the beach? The sandy beaches of La Grande Motte on the Mediterranean Sea are about 35 minutes’ drive away.

For daily shopping and cosy cafés, head to the lively town of Sommières (approx. 7 km), beautifully situated along the Vidourle River and known for its market and historic bridge. Calvisson (6 km) also offers a range of shops and basic amenities. Golf enthusiasts will find a golf course near Nîmes (30 km).

Heerlijk rustige omgeving & hondenparadijs. Gemis aan zwembad opgelost met eigen "plons-/aperitiefbadje". Zeer correcte en vlotte service van Basic Travel.

Het is een huis dat we al enkele jaren huren, wat al veel zegt over hoe we erover denken :-) Tuin is verkleind tov 2 jaar geleden, maar zeker nog meer dan groot genoeg, zeker als je honden hebt, zoals wij... Ontvangst en opvolging door buur is top ! Rustige ligging, veel wandelmogelijkheden, winkels/marktjes op doenbare rijafstand en verschillende leuke plekken om te bezoeken in de buurt. Elk jaar opnieuw genieten we er van onze vakantie +++

Prachtige vakantie gehad in dit mooie, comfortabel huis. Zeer rustig gelegen en prachtige, grote tuin. Top voor verblijf met hond! Vriendelijke ontvangst ter plaatse en veel bezienswaardigheden in de buurt.

Toplocatie om tot rust te komen, vandaar dat we dit huis al enkele jaren gehuurd hebben :-)

Perfecte plaats om tot rust te komen. Leuk huisje met grote omheinde tuin. Mooie wandelmogelijkheden in de directe nabijheid + leuke dorpjes op rijafstand : een aanrader !

Er is een grote tuin die goed afgesloten is en dus prima voor honden. De tuin biedt veel schaduw. Mooi groot terras en veel tuinmeubilair. Kan het aanbevelen.

Zeer goede en rustige locatie,de verantwoordelijken zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.zeker een aanrader wie niet te ver wil rijden in de omgeving,alles kort bij Nimes, Uzes,en de kust niet vergeten.een 40 kilometer en je bent er.met andere woorden een toplocatie.

Prima huis, grote tuin met de nodige schaduw, zeer rustige omgeving. Bij aankomst wat problemen met de wifi maar dit is de huisbewaarder snel komen oplossen. Bbq was niet meer aanwezig wegens brandgevaar maar dit heeft men opgelost door een elektrische plancha. Een huisje om terug naar toe te gaan .

Rustig gelegen huis met erg grote omheinde tuin. Ideaal voor mensen die van de stilte en de natuur houden. Ook super voor onze honden, die steeds vrij kunnen rondlopen. Alles wat men nodig heeft, is aanwezig in het huis, . Grote Carrefour op +/- 5km. Leuke stadjes op rijafstand en voor wie wil, is er de zee en het strand op +/-30 km. We genieten hier steeds met grote "G"

Mooi compleet vakantiehuis in een prachtige en rustige omgeving.Prima ontvangst door het beheerdersechtpaar. Zeer goede kwaliteit bedden. Tuin prima omheind zodat onze hondjes niet weg konden lopen. Goede winkels en supermarkten op korte afstand. Barbecue hebben we niet kunnen vinden maar dit was voor ons geen probleem. Zeker een vakantiehuis om nog eens naar terug te gaan. Service Basic Travel: zakelijk en correct.

Het is een prachtig huis in een heerlijke rustige omgeving. Mooie natuur. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van de woonkamer, vanwege het mooie weer. Rond het huis is er veel mogelijkheid om in de schaduw te kunnen zitten. Het huis is goed koel te houden. Zeker een huis om naar terug te gaan.

Voor wie van rust en natuur houdt, een 100% ideaal vakantieadres. Het huis biedt qua comfort, alles wat je nodig hebt. De grote omheinde tuin biedt zowel zon als schaduwplekken en is ideaal voor als je met een viervoeter op verlof gaat. Heel veel mooie wandel- en fiestmogelijkheden in de directe omgeving. Het weer is meestal goed te vergelijken met het weer in de Provence, dus zonnig en warm. Het is de 6de maal dat we dit huis huren en elk jaar genieten we hier met volle teugen +++

Heel rustig gelegen. Een aanrader aan rustzoekers.Er waren in het begin wat moeilijkheden met wifi-ontvangst maar dat werd (telefonisch) opgelost. Nabijgelegen stadje (Sommieres)is heel aangenaam en mooi.
