Fully detached stone-built holiday house with terrace and large grounds, located just 3 km from the lively Provençal town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, around 20 km south of Avignon. The well-furnished and carefully restored house is situated on a small country road in a quiet area with many orchards. It is an excellent base for exploring this varied and interesting part of Provence. First of all there is Saint-Rémy itself with the pleasant ring boulevard and the attractive city center. You will find a variety of shops and galleries, restaurants and terraces. Furthermore, it is certainly worthwhile to visit Les Antiques, the excavations that have revealed an important Roman city. Another tourist 'topper' is the nearby Les Baux (7 km), from the impressive ruins of the former castle you have a wide panorama. The interesting cities of Avignon and Arles are easily accessible from your holiday home (both approx. 20 km) and a day at the sea is also possible. A trip to the famous coastal town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (60 km) also takes you through the beautiful nature of the Camargue. All facilities can be found in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
