This detached, characteristic stone holiday house is beautifully situated in the unspoilt nature of the southern Ardèche, 4 km from the village of Montpezat-sous-Bauzon and 25 km north-west of Aubenas. From the living room of the well restored and nicely furnished house you have access to a spacious terrace, from where you have a wide view. You also have access to a large (partly sloping) site. The hamlet of Les Grisières, consisting of only a few houses, is an ideal place for those seeking tranquility and nature lovers. You reach it via a narrow access road, where you have to pay attention here and there. The varied, old volcano landscape around Montpezat-sous-Bauzon invites you to take long walks; There are several marked hiking trails in the mountainous area with forests and rivers. The river Fontaulière flows 500 m from your holiday house, while the Ardèche river is near the village of Thueyts, where there is a beach and a swimming spot at the foot of the impressive Pont du Diable. You can make nice trips in the area. Picturesque villages such as Antraigues-sur-Volane and Burzet are not far and a trip to the high-lying, old town of Aubenas is certainly worthwhile. The spa town of Vals-les-Bains with its casino and hot baths is 22 km from your holiday house. A day trip to the famous Gorges de l'Ardèche (approx. 55 km) is also possible. In Montpezat-sous-Bauzon are the basic amenities such as a grocery, a bakery, a pharmacy and a restaurant. In Thueyts there are two small supermarkets, several restaurants and cafes and on Friday morning there is a lively weekly market.
