Charming holiday home in the Ardèche, peace, nature and comfort
This characteristic and peacefully located holiday home for up to 4 guests features two bedrooms and one bathroom and is pet-friendly. The property is situated on the edge of the Parc Naturel des Monts d’Ardèche, just 7 km from Vernoux-en-Vivarais and 37 km west of Valence.
Recently renovated and tastefully furnished, the house is attached to the owner’s farmhouse and offers a pleasant blend of comfort and authenticity. Outside, you can enjoy a beautiful, partially covered terrace and a private garden of approximately 300 m², perfect for relaxing in complete tranquillity.
The surroundings are ideal for walkers and nature lovers, with an unspoilt landscape of hills, forests, fields and babbling streams. Several hiking trails pass directly by the house. The area is also a wonderful challenge for experienced cyclists.
Swimming is possible in several spots along the Eyrieux and Dunière rivers, or at the nearby Lac aux Ramiers in Vernoux, a recreational lake with a lovely beach. Vernoux-en-Vivarais also offers an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and all essential amenities such as a large supermarket, smaller shops, restaurants and cafés. A lively market takes place on Thursday mornings and on Sunday mornings in July and August.
The region boasts many points of interest, including the ruins of La Tourette Castle near Vernoux and the slightly more southern Château de Pierre Gourde. A real highlight is a ride on the steam train from Lamastre to Tournon, a spectacular 33 km journey through the Doux river valley.
