This beautifully located chalet in Enchastrayes, part of Barcelonnette, offers breathtaking views over the Ubaye river valley and the surrounding mountains. The house is about 800 meters from the river, on a spacious 4000 m² plot on a ridge, ensuring privacy and tranquility.
The chalet is ideal for groups of up to 14 guests and features spacious living and dining areas. Outside, you will find garden furniture for 16 people, a stone barbecue, a pizza oven, and a jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the spectacular view. The garden offers plenty of sunny and shaded spots.
Upon arrival, you will receive aperitif drinks and all the ingredients for breakfast for the entire stay (except bread).
The picturesque and lively town of Barcelonnette is about 4 km away, with charming shops, cafés, and restaurants. Twice a week, a beautiful Provençal market is held in the center. The local museum tells the fascinating history of the town: in the 19th century, many residents went to Mexico, started a textile business, and returned wealthy, building forty magnificent villas in Barcelonnette.
Nature lovers will find countless opportunities for walking in the forests and mountains. Experienced cyclists can enjoy famous cols such as Col de la Bonette, Col de la Cayolle, Col d’Allos, and Col de Larche. A walk on the last col is also fun for children due to the many marmots and their characteristic whistles.
In winter, you can ski in Pra-Loup and Super Sauze, and in summer, there are beautiful mountain hikes. About 25 km away is the stunning Lac de Serre Ponçon, and near Jausiers (approx. 10 km) there is a small recreational lake. Beautiful surrounding villages such as Saint-Pons, Faucon, and Jausiers are also worth a visit.
