This fully detached stone holiday home with enclosed private swimming pool is situated in a very peaceful location, surrounded by forests and hills, about 3 km from the picturesque village of Vachères and roughly 25 km northwest of Manosque. Carefully restored and dating from the 17th century, the house offers complete privacy and stunning views over the surrounding Provençal landscape. Several terraces around the house allow you to relax at any time of the day.
The immediate surroundings invite you to take long walks through unspoilt nature, while experienced cyclists will find plenty of challenges in the mountainous terrain. For lovers of peace and nature, this unique region—on the border of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Vaucluse—is a true paradise. Thanks to its central location, you can easily explore the Luberon, the Montagne de Lure, and the Ventoux massif. If you visit between late June and mid-July, you will often be treated to the enchanting blue-purple shades of the lavender fields.
Around Vachères you will find numerous charming Provençal villages, such as Reillanne, Banon, Rustrel and Simiane-la-Rotonde. The larger towns of Apt and Manosque are also easily accessible. In Vachères itself you’ll find basic amenities: a grocer, a bakery, a café and a restaurant. For a wider range of facilities, you can visit Banon, Reillanne, Forcalquier or Manosque. Just over 25 km away, south of Manosque near Pierrevert, there is also an 18-hole golf course.
