ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Pretty, detached house, peacefully set 1,5 km from Follonica and only 2 km from the sea (by car 4 km). The house is neatly decorated and the veranda offers a lovely view of the olive orchard and the sea. Follonica is situated approximately 40 km northwest of the town of Grosseto. The town of Massa Marittima with its beautiful church and two interesting museums (Mining and archaeology museum) is located about 20 km from the house. San Galgano, a bit further away, features the ruins of an abbey and a chapel with a sword cut in a rock (the legend of knight Galgano, who was later canonised). Other trips that can be attempted are to the coast and its many charming villages, to the beautiful Parco Narturale della Maremma and even to the island of Elba. By taking the highway, the interesting cities of Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Rome can also be easily reached. Sea: 2 km.
