ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Fully freestanding villa in a quiet location, furnished tastefully with hints of Provence, with a large private pool. The large, well-shaded grounds provide a splendid view Mont Ventoux (1909m), the highest mountain of Provence, as well as the vineyards and surrounding hills. There are many opportunities for hiking and cycling in the immediate vicinity. Mont Ventoux is very well known from the Tour de France, and it is visited year-round by avid cyclists who consider it an honour to reach the top of this legendary mountain. The house is located near the hamlet of Saint-Estève, which belongs to the municipality of Blauvac, around 16 kilometres east of the wonderful city of Carpentras. The Couvent abbey of the Trappist Order is nearby. There are many interesting, picturesque villages in the surrounding area, such as Bédoin, Murs, Gordes, Mazan, Méthamis and Fontaine de Vaucluse, as well as the charming cities of Orange, Avignon, and Carpentras. Somewhat further away but well worth the effort is the town of Vaison la Romaine, with its medieval village district and remains dating from the Roman era. Isle sur la Sorgue, a friendly little town with an antique market, and the lavender fields of Sault (best in June and July) are also very attractive destinations. You can also make day trips to the magnificent Luberon mountain range, with its breathtaking villages and landscapes, and the Dentilles de Montmirail. Golf: Avignon (35km).
