ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Restored, old, natural stone terraced house in the hamlet of les Nouveaux near the village of Saint Jean de Sault. Both the front and back of the house offer a fine view of the valley and the surrounding mountains; one can see as far as Mont Ventoux. The grounds at the back of the house are extensive, the ones in front of the house are smaller. The surroundings offer many possibilities for walking and cycling. The hamlet is situated 7 km south of the picturesque and lively village of Sault, where groceries can be purchased and cafes and restaurants can be visited. The highest mountain of the Provence, Mont Ventoux (height: 1909 m), is in direct vicinity of the house. This mountain is well-known through the Tour de France and is visited year round by cycle enthusiasts conquering the top of this legendary mountain. There are a number of possibilities for exploring the Provence: via the beautiful village of Montbrun and the valley of Jabron towards Sisteron; through the magnificent mountain range the Luberon in the south, with its striking villages; towards the west, by visiting the fine cities of Carpentras, Orange and Avignon, as well as the villages of Vaison la Romaine and Malaucène.
