ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Two-room apartment on the fourth floor of a flat of standing. The apartment is neatly furnished. It is advantageously situated, directly behind the harbor, shielded from the noise and the ever present wind. The apartment is in possession of an elevator. Shops, cafes and restaurants are all in close vicinity. The harbor is approx. 150 m removed from the apartment; it is a real treat to stroll along its numerous outdoor cafes. From the house, it is only a 300 m walk to the beach. From the loggia, a superb panorama can be enjoyed of the harbor, the Mediterranean sea, the island of Porquerolles, and the Presqu'île de Giens. The renowned beach of l'Almanarre, well known to wind surfers, is only a few km away. The region features moreover the coastal cycle track (100 km long), walking routes along the coast, and a health resort (thalasso therapy). Other sports that can be performed are tennis, carting, and horseback riding. The town of Hyères itself is 4 km from the house. It features a fine old city centre with a number of attractive boutiques. The name Côte d'Azur was invented in this town in the 19th century. Daytrips are recommended to the cities of Toulon, with its beautiful bay, and Marseille, or to one of the various other towns along the coast in the direction of St Tropez. The fine seaside resorts of Bormes les Mimosas, Le Lavandou, Bandol, and Sanary are also recommendable. The hinterland features excellent mountain regions such as les Maures and la Sainte Baume, as well as many picturesque villages that are worth visiting. One should not forego a crossover to the magnificent island of Porquerolles. Golf: La Londe les Maures - Valcros (15 km).
