ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Detached villa on large shady grounds with a private swimming pool. The house is set in a nice, quiet residential area, approx. 2 km from the Provencal village of Fuveau. The grounds near the swimming pool offer an excellent prospect of the mountains. Fuveau is situated 15 km south-east of the exceptional and lively town of Aix-en-Provence. It is great to stroll through Aix-en-Provence’s beautiful shopping streets and sit down in one of the outdoor cafes at the Cours Mirabeau. The seaport city of Marseille, with its fine old city centre, is highly recommended. Other daytrips that can be attempted are to the mountains of the Massif de la Sainte Baume, the Luberon, or to the Montagne Ste Victoire near Aix-en-Provence, which obtained immortality through the painter Cézanne. A visit to the sea at the seaside resorts of La Ciotat, Bandol, Sanary, or Cassis is recommended as well. At Cassis it is possible to take a touring boat and view the 'calanques' (coves).
