ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Well restored, partially natural stone house with a private swimming pool, on the outskirts of the hamlet of Chabannes, in the south-western corner of the Ardèche, in the center of the mountainous region of the Cevennen. Chabannes is situated north-east of the town of Bessèges and north of the village of Malbosc. The view from the veranda is truly panoramic and from the swimming pool the mountains of the Ardèche can be enjoyed, all the way to Mont-Ventoux in the Provence. The house comes with large afforested grounds (1 hectare). This house is accessible for wheelchairs: the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and an adapted toilet are on the ground floor. The first floor can only be accessed by wheelchairs around the house through an adapted ramp; it can also be reached indoors by means of stairs. It features two bedrooms, a second toilet and a second bathroom. The halls and entrances inside the house and the entrance to the swimming pool outside are all fitted with ramps suitable for wheelchairs. The undisturbed nature of this area is an indulgence for walking enthusiasts and people seeking tranquility. Groceries can be purchased in Bessèges or les Vans. Numerous daytrips can be attempted: to the rugged mountains of the Cevenne; to the Gorges de l'Ardèche; to the Provence and the Languedoc regions and their beautiful cities like Montélimar, Orange, Arles, Uzès, Nîmes, and Avignon; or to the abundance of charming villages such as Largentière, les Vans, Saint-Ambroix, Ruoms, and Barjac.
