ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Fully detached villa, lovely location no more than a kilometre from the enchanting town of Sisteron and with a fine view over the valley of the rivier de Jabron. This lovely valley lies to the southwest of Sisteron and leads you to beautiful villages such as Noyers sur Jabron, Montbrun les Bains and Sault. For all your shopping needs you can of course go direct to Sisteron, where you will also find nice terraces and restaurants and where a visit to the citadelle that towers over the town is an absolute must. Between the 7th July and 10th August in Sisteron the Festival des Nuits de la Citadelle takes place: dance, music and theatre. The region offers many possibilities for excursions: you will find lovely hiking trails here such as G.R. 6 and G.R. 946 (Grandes Randonnées – Hiking Trails). The highest mountain in the region is the Montagne de Lure (1826 m). Also a trip to the lovely mountain range of Luberon with its enchanting Provençal villages is highly recommended. In addition there are other lovely places such as Sault, Forcalquier and Banon in the area. Note that the position of the house on a hill makes the driveway to the house and garage rather steep. You then have to go up a staircase to the accommodation level (the ground floor is unused apart from the garage). For this reason the accommodation is not suitable for those with difficulty walking.
