ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION THE HOLIDAY PARK Les Tropes is a small scale holiday resort that consists of 7 gîtes on the edge of one of the largests forests of France, the Bois de Bercé. It is situated about 75 km north of Tours. There is one detached gîte, the other six were constructed in pairs. They were built according to the rules of modern architecture. By making use of natural materials a harmony between the forest and this holiday resort was obtained. All the gîtes are well appointed. The right to make use of the facilities is preserved exclusively for the tenants of the gîtes. There is a swimming pool, a reception, TV room, breakfast service, sauna, washing machine and a playground for sports like football, badminton and volleyball. This park is very suitable for people who seek quietness and at the same time want to enjoy nature. Under guidance of the manager a variety of activities in the forest is offered: walking tours, cycling-tours and photo-safaris. If you're also looking for some culture: the numerous castles of the Loire are never far away. FACILITIES Reception, TV room, breakfast service, swimming pool (12x6m), reclining seats, sauna , playground, bike rental (ATB - adults), necessities to play badminton, table tennis, lawn bowling. In the surrounding there are opportunities for horse riding (3 km) and tennis playing. There's a lake with bathing facilities and surfboard renting at Maréon (15 km). ACCOMMODATIONS You'll find here the description of a gîte for 6 persons. The gîte for 8 persons is almost identical. They dispose of an extra bedroom with two single beds. Six of the seven gîtes are built in pairs: a gîte for 6 persons and a gîte for 8 persons. The 7th gîte is a gîte for 4 persons. This gîte is also suited for disabled persons. The terraces are well separated from each other. Detached gîte, accommodating 4 persons in the park of Les Tropes - Gîtes de Bercé.
