ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION This detached house in Nayemont-les-Fosses, is situated 5 km east of St-Dié-des-Vosges in the Vosges in northeast France. The house has a beautiful setting on the outskirts of the little village, at the end of a little road leading into the fields. From the house, there is a scenic view on the mountains in the distance. The house is fully equipped and all the rooms are elevated. Nayemont is just a few minutes from St-Dié-des-Vosges where you can find all amenities. The route de vins d’Alsace is located 30 km form the house and runs along well-known wine towns and the region of the well-known Elzas wines. If you fancy going up the mountains, the picturesque Vosges are located south of the house. So too are the Petit and the Grand Ballon and the Col de la Schlucht. 25 km away, in Gérardmer, you’ll find a charming recreational pool where you could have a swim and take part in water sports. THE COLS OF THE VOSGES In the Vosges the sporting cyclist can enjoy him/herself and test his or her form. Within a small area east of Gérardmer you will find a number of beautiful and famous cols, like the Col de la Schlucht (17 km long, 1.100 m high), the Markstein (20 km long, 1.200 m high), the Petit Ballon (12 km long, 1.150 m high) and the Grand Ballon (13 km long, 1.350 m high). The beautiful, green landscapes and the beautiful views together with the smooth, not very steep cols cause this area to be a wonderful challenge for every sporting cyclist.
