ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Quietly located detached house at approx. 2 km from the village of Le Val-d'Ajol. Le Val d'Ajol is situated halfway between Remiremont and the health resort Luxeil les Bains. At the house you'll enjoy a wonderful view on the valley. In the surrounding fine walks and cycling trips can be made. The famous mountain peaks the Servance and the Ballon d'Alsace can easily be reached. There are skiing possibilities in La Bresse and Gérardmer. Le Val-d'Ajol offers a wide variety of facilities: swimming pool, tenniscourts, riding school, shops and restaurants. Leisure lake: Lac de Moselotte (Saulxures): 25 km. THE COLS OF THE VOSGES In the Vosges the sporting cyclist can enjoy him/herself and test his or her form. Within a small area east of Gérardmer you will find a number of beautiful and famous cols, like the Col de la Schlucht (17 km long, 1.100 m high), the Markstein (20 km long, 1.200 m high), the Petit Ballon (12 km long, 1.150 m high) and the Grand Ballon (13 km long, 1.350 m high). The beautiful, green landscapes and the beautiful views together with the smooth, not very steep cols cause this area to be a wonderful challenge for every sporting cyclist.
