ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION [F88.102] Beautiful modern wooden chalet with (covered) swimming pool and large garden in Le Ménil, about 30 km south of the town of Remiremont in the Vosges in northeastern France. This chalet that has been specially equipped for the disabled, was built in 2008 and has very modern decor and every luxury and comfort. Also the pool that you share with the owners, who live in a house a little further up the mountain, is accessible by the disabled. The modern and colourful furnishing and decor of the house, including a pool with the hydro massage possibilities, a very large modern shower, air conditioning and a modern wood stove, guarantee a pleasant stay. From the house and partially covered terrace there is a beautiful view of the mountains across from the house. Around the house you have access to a large piece of land. The famous Vosges mountains are a short distance from Le Menil and the famous Alsace wine route for wines is easily reachable 40 km from the house. THE COLS OF THE VOSGES In the Vosges the sporting cyclist can enjoy him/herself and test his or her form. Within a small area east of Gérardmer you will find a number of beautiful and famous cols, like the Col de la Schlucht (17 km long, 1.100 m high), the Markstein (20 km long, 1.200 m high), the Petit Ballon (12 km long, 1.150 m high) and the Grand Ballon (13 km long, 1.350 m high). The beautiful, green landscapes and the beautiful views together with the smooth, not very steep cols make this area a wonderful challenge for every sporting cyclist.
