ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Detached chalet, quietly set in the hamlet of Le Planois, approximately 6 km from Vagney, in the direction of La Bresse. Vagney is situated between Remiremont and Gérardmer, two villages that are well worth a visit. The wooded area offers infinite possibilities for walking and cycle tours. During the winter there are skiing opportunities at only 8 km from the house. The beautiful and serene vicinity of the house is characterised by forests and hills. Basse-sur-le-Rupt is an ideal location for discovering the beauty of the Vosges on foot or by car. Lake: Gérardmer (25 km). Swimming pool: Vagney (6 km). THE COLS OF THE VOSGES In the Vosges the sporting cyclist can enjoy him/herself and test his or her form. Within a small area east of Gérardmer you will find a number of beautiful and famous cols, like the Col de la Schlucht (17 km long, 1.100 m high), the Markstein (20 km long, 1.200 m high), the Petit Ballon (12 km long, 1.150 m high) and the Grand Ballon (13 km long, 1.350 m high). The beautiful, green landscapes and the beautiful views together with the smooth, not very steep cols cause this area to be a wonderful challenge for every sporting cyclist.
