ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION Large, natural stone house with a private swimming pool and large grounds (about 1 hectare), set on the verge of the beautiful old hamlet of Le Mazert. Le Mazert is situated approx. 3 km northeast of the pretty, lively village of Barjac. Groceries can be purchased in Barjac, that also has good restaurants and cafes. The house stands not far from the magnificent Gorges de l'Ardèche and is located west of the Pont Saint Esprit. The house itself is about 300 years old and consists of a main building with a living room, kitchen, three bedrooms, and a bathroom. Two more bedrooms and a second bathroom can be reached solely from the back. The two bedrooms and the bathroom that can only be reached from the back remain locked up when the house is rented for 1-6 persons, except for the months of July and August! The living room, veranda, and the swimming pool offer a magnificent panorama of the mountains of the Cevennen. Besides the swimming pool stands a small building with a shower and a toilet, as well as cooking facilities, a refrigerator and a sink. This fine location is ideal for excursions to the Ardèche or interesting trips to the Cevennen, the fine cities of Uzès, Avignon, and Nîmes, villages such as Barjac, le Garn, Saint Ambroix, les Vans, Vallon Pont d'Arc, and Ruoms, or the ruins of the castle of Allègre.
