ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION THE HOLIDAY PARK Holiday park Lac du Der is located close to the harbour of Giffaumont-Champaubert on the shore of lake Lac du Der Chantecoq. The park is situated at approx. 20 km southwest of St Dizier.The tenants have direct access to the sandy beach. Besides swimming all other watersports can be practised: surfing, sailing, water-skiing and fishing (extensive information on fishing available on request). In this beautiful wooded region fine walks and cycling trips can be made. For bird-watchers this is truly paradise: over 270 species have been spotted here, amongst them the common crane who takes a rest at the lake when migrating. There are several observation posts around the lake. There is a sports centre at 300 m. You can visit the towns of Saint-Dizier, Vitry-le-François and the historical town of Troyes. Also, there are many wellknown wine houses in the Champagne region you can visit. During the summer months there is a bakery and a small food shop at walking distance. You can go to Montier-en-Der (8 km) for more shops. FACILITIES Reception, bar/restaurant, indoor swimming pool with a paddling area (free of charge). Wifi (free of charge). Basic Travel offers the semi-detached bungalows for 2-4 persons, the detached bungalows for 4-6 persons and the detached bungalows for 6-8 persons. All bungalows have a cooking area with a refridgerator, an oven, a smal dishwasher, colour TV and electrical heating. Please note that the double bed in the living room is only 1.20m wide and therefor unsuited for 2 adults. There's a small piece of garden of 100-200 m2 with a private patio and garden furniture. The car can be parked at the central parking place; loading and unloading of luggage can be done at the bungalow. NB: The position of the bungalow with regard to eachother, the reception and the beach varies per bungalow. The pictures of the bungalows must be seen as examples only.
