The house is in Waimes, to the east of Malmédy and within a stone’s throw of the Ambleve Valley and its nature reserve. The nature reserve of the ‘Hoge Venen’, one of the best known walking areas in the Belgian Ardennes, is less than 10km (6.21 mi.) away. The area is ideal for a variety of day trips and activities. Water sport lovers will find plenty to do in the lakes of Robertville and Bütgenbach. Worriken has a sports centre and skiing/snowboarding is available in many nearby locations. For culture and history, a visit to the Reinhardstein Castle from the 14th Century, and the Stavelot Monastery from the 11th Century are a must.
